Pain, redness & swelling at injection site; fever; unusual crying; vomiting; diarrhea; loss of appetite; restlessness; nervousness; anorexia; somnolence; fatigue 

history of encephalopathy within 7 days of previous pertussis-containing vaccine;patients have experienced transient thrombocytopenia or neurological complications following an earlier immunisation against diphtheria and/or tetanus;patients with acute severe febrile illness;history of hypersensitivity or serious allergic reaction (eg anaphylaxis) to any vaccine component.

1dose = 0.5ml; 3 doses within the 1st 6 mo of life, starting from 2 months onwards. An interval of at least 1 month should be maintained between subsequent dose. Booster 1 injection in 2nd yr of life. 

Active immunization in infants from 2 mo of age against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis and haemophilus infuenzae type b. or booster dose for children previously immunized with DTP, polio and Hib antigens:
